faq

How much do the birds weigh?
Between 4 and 5 pounds.
What do they cost?
$3.99/lb.
Do they come fresh or frozen?
Fresh. Pickup is after Noon - 2 p.m. on the day of processing. The birds will be in a chill tank (ice water) where customers may choose the bird(s) they want. They are then bagged (customer may provide own bag, but we have them available). They are weighed, paid for and then ready to go home. We strongly encourage customers to bring coolers with ice to continue to chill the birds down. Birds should be chilled to 40 degrees before being placed in a freezer bag. The birds should also be spread out in the freezer for maximum air flow so they freeze thoroughly. Once frozen they can be placed closer together.
Do they come cut up or whole?
They come whole. We have cutting instructions available so you can cut your chicken up at home.
Do you ship?
We do not ship our products anywhere. If you are outside of our local area, please visit www.eatwild.com to locate a producer near you. All purchases must be made on our farm and picked up before 1 p.m. on the day of processing.
Do You Have Grass-Fed Beef?
Unfortunately, at this time we do not. We hope to add grass-fed beef and pastured pork in the near future.
What payments do you accept?
We only accept cash or checks at this point. Sorry, no debit or credit card purchases at this time.
Will you have eggs available in the winter?
Yes, our hens will continue to lay year round, even when they are moved into the hoop house around November 1. Their diet will then include alfalfa hay. They will return to the pasture in early Spring.
